From the green hills of Fort Portal to the red dirt of Kyenjojo, Uganda’s rally world is bracing for an unforgettable showdown. The UMC Fort Portal Tourism City Rally 2025 is here — and it’s not just another race. It’s Round 5 of the National Rally Championship (NRC), where champions will rise, and legends could fall.

August 22nd – 24th

Fort Portal & Kyenjojo Districts

Entries opened: July 21st | Closing: August 16th

With over 125 km of pure rally action, fans can expect thrills, dust, drama, and determination as Uganda’s finest drivers battle for glory on one of the most scenic — and unforgiving — rally routes in the country.

Ronald Ssebuguzi leads the championship with 187 points — but he’s being hunted.
Ponsiano Lwakataka, with his fiery style and 175 points, is on his tail.
Musa Ssegaabwe, the 2024 CRC champion, is the rookie making big waves with 165.5 points. Can he shock the rally world again?

And of course, never count out Duncan Mubiru (140 points) – a fan favorite chasing another comeback.

In the CRC (Clubman Rally Championship), it’s also neck and neck:

  • Walter Kibande leads with 55 points
  • Ahmed Kateete is close behind at 50
  • Kevin Bebeto and Robert Ssentongo Nkima are right there, waiting to pounce.

Friday, August 22

  • Scrutineering & Ceremonial Start – Kyenjojo

Saturday, August 23 – Day 1

  • SS1: Dr. Henry Maseruka Stage – 17.33 km
  • SS2: Redsun – 15.3 km
  • SS3: Maseruka Repeat – 17.33 km
  • SS4: Redsun Repeat – 15.3 km
  •  Super Special Stage – 3 km head-to-head showdown in Kyenjojo Town

Overnight Parc Fermé – Fort Portal

Sunday, August 24 – Day 2

  • SS5: Mukwano Karmali – 15.21 km
  • SS6: Roma Motors – 13.33 km
  • SS7: TradeMate Clouds – 12.82 km
  • SS8: POWER STAGE – TradeMate Clouds Repeat – 12.82 km

Fort Portal is known for its peace, nature, and cool breeze. But for one weekend, that calm turns into chaos. The air will smell of burnt rubber and action, and the roads will shake with horsepower.

This is more than motorsport. It’s passion. It’s pride. It’s Ugandan grit on full display.

As one fan said, “In Fort Portal, we don’t just eat dust — we taste destiny.”

Whether you’re a hardcore rally lover or just love a good story of speed and suspense, this rally is not to be missed. The stakes are high. The competition is fierce. And the roads? Ruthless.

  • Bring your flags, cameras, and voices.
  • Cheer for your favorites.
  • Witness a rally that could change the 2025 championship forever.

See you in Fort Portal. And remember: only the brave will be remembered.
