It’s now confirmed that Uganda Cranes will play defending champions Senegal in the last 8 of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) due this Saturday at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
The Lions of Terranga managed a 0-0 stalemate against Sudan on Tuesday at Amaan stadium in Zanzibar. The Group D match saw both Senegal and Sudan finish with five points, but Sudan topped the group with a better goal difference.
Kwesi Appiah’s side Sudan takes on Group C runners-up Algeria on Saturday in Zanzibar.
East African neighbors’ Kenya Harambe Stars welcome Madagascar on Friday in the first quarter final clash in Nairobi as Tanzania will host Morocco.
