FUFA announces 28 Man squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Onyango returns to Cranes team
Uganda Cranes will play Mozambique on 5 September 2025 before playing Somalia on 8 September 2025 at Namboole stadium in crucial back-to-back fixtures.
Cranes legend Denis Masinde Onyango makes a crucial return to the Cranes setup having officially retired in 2021. His return is vital to the team in this campaign.
Joining him in goal is fellow custodian Salim Jamal, who also returns to the national setup.
The Federation has also included eleven players who featured in the 2024 Chan Tournament. Among those players include among others; Allan Okello, Joel Mutakubwa, Joel Sserunjogi, Rogers Torach, Jude Ssemugabi,Hillary Mukundane and Patrick Jonah Kakande.
