Kent Kenneth Arereng
Abdul Ssebute, former Bantamweight National Champion and East/Central African Regional
Champion (ABU Regional), has entered into an agreement with Albion Boxing Academy Cambridge
Management and Nara Promotionz from Uganda for a period of three (3) years to manage his talent
as a professional boxer.
The Ugandan pugilist, currently working as a chef at Hobson Hotel Cambridge affirmed his total commitment to the two entities for shaping his boxing career which spans many years.
The management team will oversee his training by providing training facilities, hiring experienced
trainers to guide him through the process, and helping to secure opportunities with top promoters in
the United Kingdom for better fight nights.
He said that without a proper management team, it is very difficult to progress in the business of
professional boxing in the UK. He also thanked Hobson Hotel where he works, his new
management team, and Nara Promotionz for giving him this opportunity.
His manager Gary Davidson Jnr, a former boxer and now a manager under Albion Boxing Academy
Cambridge, together with trainer Tony Petchell, said they were impressed by Abdul Ssebute
because he is a disciplined and talented boxer.
During the meeting where the agreement was reached, Nara Promotionz Director Lubowa Babu
Hussein and Nara Promotionz Secretary Edirisa Kiyemba were also present and fully supported the
partnership and contract.
Hobson Hotel Cambridge has also expressed willingness to support and sponsor Abdul Ssebute
during his fight nights. They are welcoming Ugandans to visit their facilities across the UK, as they
have different branches and are ready to welcome everyone.
