The 21st edition of Masaza Cup has this Wednesday 18th June 2025 been officially launched by Buganda Kingdom Premier;Charles Peter Mayiga.
In today’s launch at Bulange Mengo, Mayiga urged players and administrators to heed to the aspects of discipline and honesty, which are key for winning other than witchcraft.
“Desist from acts of witchcraft as they take you nowhere; Instead embrace discipline, which is vital for winners,Mayiga emphasized”.
He was impressed at the levels at which different counties are constructing stadiums for their fans in Buganda kingdom.
The annual tournament that is bankrolled by Airtel is an annual tournament that covers 18 cultural counties of Buganda Kingdom. A total of 104 matches will be played on 16 match days between 21st June and November 1st, 2025, respectively.
The opening match is set for this coming Saturday involving reigning champions Buddu and Gomba in Masaka.
