This year’s edition comes with a special twist: it is primarily designed for new and upcoming drivers and co- drivers looking to join the world of rallying. It offers a unique platform for fresh talent to experience competition in a real rally environment. However, the event is open to all drivers, including seasoned competitors who want to test their machines, sharpen their skills, or simply enjoy the thrill of the circuit.
The day kicks off with scrutineering at Moil Kigobya at 8:00 AM, setting the tone for a full-throttle day. The 6km circuit at MZURI Africa promises fast-paced action and dramatic showdowns in a safe and competitive setting.
Local motorsport fans can look forward to new drivers and Big Boys in the game like Ibrahim Lubega (Pasuwa), Samuel Bwete (Kawunyemu), among others who have already ignited friendly banter. Pasuwa boldly claimed, “I will beat Kawunyemu in my Toyota Corolla FX—he’s still mastering his car and am the lion of Mukono!” It’s this spirit of rivalry and growth that makes this event a must-watch.
