Joshua Muwanguzi, famously nicknamed the “Omoro Lion” after his electrifying win at the 2023 Auto Cross event in Uganda’s Omoro region, is revving up for another high-stakes’ competition. The 2023 Champion in the CRC (Clubman Rally Championship) category, has firmly established himself as a force to reckon with in Ugandan motorsport.
Now preparing to compete in the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally, scheduled for May 8th to 10th in Mbarara, Josh is more than ready and his goal is to win behind the wheel of a Subaru Impreza in the National Rally Championship category, alongside co-driver Katabalwa Robert. The duo aims to make a strong mark in the country’s most prestigious motorsport event.
“My Subaru N12 Car has been tuned to the level of a World Rally Championship car”,Josh roared.
Beyond the rally track, Joshua is also a proud father to rising motorcycling stars Abigail Muwanguzi, known in motorcross as the “Star Girl”, and Alba Muwanguzi, both of whom are making their names in MX50cc category.
