Motorcross action shifts to Garuga as Southern Motor Club presents the final round (Round Seven) of the Mt.Dew National Motor Cross Championship.
In a launch ceremony held on Wednesday October 21,2026, at Amazon Residences in Bunga,the event Clerk Of the Course,George Ssemakula,said that all is set for the grand finale that has riders competing for top honors in different categories including;50cc,65,85,125,MX 2,MX 1 and the Veterans category, without forgetting the ladies MX category.
Germany rider,Fabian Trossard,who jetted into the country on Monday, notes that this event will be exciting and thrilling to the fans and he has trained enough ahead of the MX 1 category that includes among other competitors;Fortune Sentamu,Fatuh Kiggundu,Asaf Natan and Ashim Sserwadda.
” This is my second time to come to Uganda, expect great competition in MX1.I will do my best to give Ugandan riders, a run for their money,” Fabian said.
Arthur Blick,the Deputy Vice President of Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda in charge of Motorcross, said that the grand finale is a good one by the organizing club, as it prepares riders for international events.
George Ssemakula stressed that to make it timely, the club will hold prize giving after every category to properly manage time as online jury meetings will be taking place.
Rally drivers including Ponsiano Lwakataka, Serunjogi Ronald and Abdul Kateete will train on the D.Day at Victoria Raceway track.
It is an event that will also see many riders be crowned as champions.
The Motorcross championship is powered by Mt.Dew, Amazon Seeds, Amazon Residences, Worldwide Movers, St. Francis Junior School Buddo, Shell Advance and Mukiibi Photography respectively.
