Rally events won by Ponsiano Lwakataka/Paul Musaazi

  • UMC Fort Portal Tourism Rally

Rally legend Ponsiano Lwakataka, just can’t stop winning in his Subaru Impreza N12-Over the weekend,he won his fourth event of the National Rally Championship (NRC) that was held in Kyenjojo and Fort Portal. The event dubbed UMC Fort portal Tourism City rally attracted a total of 25 drivers with Ponsiano posting a total time of 1:20:52.

Ponsiano also known in rally circles as Mafu Mafu edged his closest challenger Ronald Ssebuguzi, by two minutes to scoop the coveted win. Mike Mukula Junior,Samuel Bwete and Musa Ssegaabwe followed closely in that ascending order.

In the Clubman rally championship, Walter Kibande proved his prowess with a commendable win to stretch his lead on the table. Kevin Bebeto and Niwagaba Odeon Tumwebaze were the other podium finishers.

The Two Wheel Drive category had an impeccable performance from Julius Semambo as Ibrahim Lubega and Mansoor Lubega settled for second and third positions respectively.

The NRC Calendar is left with only two events; CMC Rally (Gulu) and Umospoc Kabalega rally (Hoima).
