The tenth edition of the Chaapa football league comes to an end on 20 September 2025 at Mbarara High School. 19 teams registered to take part in the prestigious tournament but now, the best eight have a chance to battle for the shield on the grand finale.
In the quarter final draws held on Wednesday at KatiKati in Kampala, the league chairperson Gumisiriza Kennedy expressed readiness for the big day in Mbarara.
“Bulls are ready to come back home and make an impact. History will be made,” Gumisiriza said.
Season two champions Bull’s Old Timers play Yobo Yobo as two-time champions Burdizo tussle out against Dingiswayo.
Msamatu will take on Chogm before See Far encounters Sikukuru in the last quarter final clash.
The league that started in 2017 with 200 active members has increased its membership to more than one thousand, with 19 registered teams.
Mbarara High School in the Vibe
The league was initiated by old boy students of Mbarara High School to connect, interact and engage in corporate social responsibility. Later, they co-opted former students at Mary Hill High School.
