Long distance runner Jacob Kiplimo, pugilist Farahat Manilola and table tennis ace Jemimmah Nakawala are the October Fortebet Real Star Award winners.
In an awards ceremony held on November 4, 2025, at Lazio Restaurant, Real Star Sports Agency Chief Executive Officer Isaac Mukasa appreciated the winners for their respective performances in sports.
” These awards are about excellence and Uganda’s sports landscape continues to shine on the regional and global stage,” Isaac noted.
Jacob Kiplimo, the World Marathon champion scooped the Athletics award after clocking 2:02:23, to win the 2025 Chicago Marathon thereby setting a new national record.
In boxing, fast rising boxer Farahat Manirola clinched a gold medal at the East Africa Zone 3 Boxing Championship that was held in Kenya. The stylist boxer overcame fellow boxers Willy Kyakonye and Aziz Ringo to bag the monthly accolade.
Table Tennis ace Jemimmah Nakawala had an outstanding performance that saw Uganda win a historic bronze medal during the 2025 ITTF Africa Seniors Championships held at in Rades, Tunisia. Jemimmah secured three consecutive victories that propelled Uganda to qualify for the London 2026 World Table Tennis Championship.
