17 league champions, SC Villa is bracing for yet an electrifying and tense moment as the club’s electoral commission organizes elections on 22nd March 2026 at East High School Kulambiro.
Three candidates have expressed interest to unseat Hajji Omar Ahmed Hussein from Villa’s presidency. Bulezi Kawuma, Dennis Ssebugwawo Mbidde and Farouk Meywa have picked nomination forms.
Brian Kajubi who heads the commission and brings a wealth of experience is confident that his team is going to deliver a free and fair election for Villa Trust Members. He confirmed this development while meeting members of the press on Thursday 5th March 2026 at Kulambiro.
Having been part of Federation of Uganda Football Associations legal committee and presided over Uganda Olympic Committee elections, the distinguished sports lawyer confirms that this election provides a chance for the club to strengthen its future.
“The strength of Sports Club Villa entirely lies in its fans and other stakeholders. Our committee is very independent, and we shall adhere to the electoral code,” Brian said.

Candidates are expected to return nomination forms on 7th March 2026 and Vetting, which is spearheaded by the trustees is set for 8th and 9th March 2026 respectively.
The electoral commission has other members; Afande Fred Enanga, Branon Katura and Desire Mukisa.
The stage is now set for 22nd March 2026 polls at Kulambiro. It’s an interesting exercise with only one winner at the end of the exercise.
