The Federation of Motorsports Clubs of Uganda has today been boosted with Uganda shillings Eighty Million, ahead of the prestigious Pearl of Africa rally due 8th-10 May 2025 covering Kiruhura and Mbarara districts respectively.
At the launch held in Mestil Hotel, Kenya Commercial Bank acting Head of Marketing Sheila Awori reiterated the bank’s commitment to promotion of sports in Uganda and beyond.
“We are proud to reaffirm our commitment to this year’s event, “Sheila stressed. The event is the second round of the Africa Rally Championship and also doubles as the third round of the National Rally Championship.
“KCB is privileged to be among the participants as well as sponsors”, Sheila further added.
This year’s sponsorship goes a long way in inspiring talent among the rally drivers on the African continent most especially Uganda.
The event will cover total distance of 486.26 kilometres with 298.16 kilometres liason while 188.10 kilometres is competitive. Drivers are expected to compete in 11 sections.
