Two sports diciplines;netball and chess stood out in the month of December 2025 as Real Stars Sports Agency recognised three outstanding individuals at Molecule Restaurant on Thursday 8th January 2026. Netball star Shadia Nassanga, also known as Miima, had a superb month in which she guided the Uganda Netball National team,”She Cranes” to the Celtic Cup win and a second-place finish at the Africa Netball Championship in Lilongwe,Malawi.
Nassanga was also instrumental for her local side Kampala Capital City Authority Netball Club in securing their maiden super league title. The shooter,who finished as the top scorer in the electrifying final guided her side to a 44-41 close win against defending champions, Prisons on 29th December 2025 at Nakivubo Stadium.
To scoop the coveteted accoloade, Nassanga outlassed her team mate Shaffie Nalwanga and Rachael Nanyonga, the She Cranes captain.
Youth Chess player Sana Omprakash was also recognised for winning gold at the Africa Junior Chess Championship in Zimbabwe. She beat Julius Asaba and Apollo Muhumuza to the prestigious accolade.
Lawn Tennis legend John Oduke was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The 67 year old appreciated Mukasa Isaac, the Chief Executive Officer of Real Stars Sports Agency for the big achievement.
“Unexpectedly,i received a call from Isaac that they have something for me and it is a Real Stars’ Lifetime Achievement Award indeed. My long-time commitment has been recognised on this special day”.
