The end of January 2026 created the best atmosphere for the organizers of the,”Children’s League”. The one day football tournament organized by Edgar’s Youth Program attracted participants, drawn from Namugongo, St Marcelino, Old Kampala and Christ the King Bweya.

On 31st January 2026, Wankulukuku Stadium was the perfect place for these kids who showcased skills coupled with discipline to entertain the excited crowd that included; parents, sponsors, fans, media and the local community.

Indeed, to the parents, it was a worthy experience as the cheers to the kids kept on energizing them from the first whistle till the climax of the event. Seven age categories had great winning moments without forgetting the individual accolades.

“I feel very happy to get this award because scoring goals is what i love most. I want to keep scoring goals and become a big football in the future”,Kian Arthur, the Under -9 top scorer noted.

To Austin Ochom, the U-13 best Goal Keeper, this tournament proved vital for his progress and he is quick to identify the element of hardwork as a good impetus for his success.

“Yes,it was tough.Being a goal keeper needs a lot of hardworking.I trained hard. The matches were good for me and my team mates”,Austin affirmed.
