Kenya Commercial Bank Uganda once again has come out to support the Federation of Motorsports Clubs of Uganda with a sponsorship package of 80 million Uganda shillings towards the Pearl of Africa rally, slated for 7th -9th May 2026.
Speaking at the launch on Wednesday 15th April 2026 in Mestil Hotel Nsambya, Noela Byuma, Head of Marketing and Communication-KCB, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment towards sports development in the country.
“As KCB, we reaffirm our commitment to motorsport by co-sponsoring the Pearl of Africa rally. This is not only about supporting sports but empowering drivers and supporting communities”, Noela noted.
Having signed a seasonal deal with the federation as a title sponsor for the National Rally Championship, KCB Uganda continues to extend a helping hand to its drivers; Nasser Mutebi, Oscar Ntambi and Mike Mukula Junior respectively. This was evident with a huge boost the corporate organization pumped into the KCB rally team recently.
The Africa Rally Championship event, with a total distance of 569.16 will cover Kiruhura and Mbarara districts. Entries from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia are expected to compete in the exciting terrains of Western Uganda.
