Great energy is expected in the knockout phase of the Ankole Cup that is slated for 19th July 2026. In a show of words witnessed at the presser held on Thursday 16th July 2026, two members of parliament, each with a winning mentality, engaged in a battle of champion’s talk before the quarter final clashes on Sunday.
Rwampara County Member of Parliament Hon.Amos Kankunda made assurances that Rwampara district team is ready for the tie against Ntungamo.
“We had the highest number of points, and I believe we are ready to play in the quarter finals,” Amos said.
To Hon. Agaba Peter, this tournament provides a platform for footballers in western region to showcase their talent and is happy with the vibe that comes along.
“We are very with the progress and talents from the players in Ankole region,”Agaba emphasized.
Momentum is already high, now that the tournament received a big boost from Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board. This support goes a long way in cementing a good relationship with the tournament organizers.
