Friday August 7, 2026, was a busy day in Buddo. Why? St. Francis Nursery and Day Care Centre held its sports day, bringing together parents, teachers and the little ones, to an array of sports activities at Buddo Secondary School pitch.
The kids, categorized under, dolphins, pigeons and ducklings participated in a number of sports activities aimed at boosting and motivating their talents.
Parents cheered as their kids displayed what their trainers had trained them to do on Friday and the end proved vital to the winning house.
Fredah House emerged victorious after garnering a total of 4180 points in the one-day event that featured four houses respectively. Among the sports disciplines competed for among others included; Formula One, Sack Race, Cone Mounting, Bottle Filling, Ball Passing, Blind Fold, Disposable Mounting, Hooler hoop jump, Car Race, Pyramid formation and Cone Mounting respectively.
The Sports Head, Aparo Ketty was impressed by the great turn up of parents and the organization in general.” Today is a special occasion where we come together to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline and a healthy competition. Sports plays an important role in the overall development of children,” Aparo noted.
The school is owned by two-time national rally champion Susan Muwonge,popularly known as ’Super Lady’. She recently competed in Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally, where she put a commendable performance to finish third in the Africa Rally Championship 2 category. The event was held on July 11-12, 2026, and Muwonge also finished as the highest ranked lady driver in the rally.
