Gulu is a city in the Northern region of Uganda. It is set to host a professional boxing event dubbed,’Inter City Fight Night’, proudly organized by Gulu City Youth Organization Limited in partnership with Friends of Boxing on 31st July 2026.
The fight, taking place at the famous Bomah Hotel has a total of 12 bouts lined up, pitting Kampala pugilists against their counterparts from Gulu.
Kampala boxers have been undergoing serious training ahead of this electrifying showdown. In an exclusive training session held on Tuesday 22 July 2026 at Panamera Pitch Naguru, the enthusiastic boxers had a common message amongst themselves, “We are going to win in Gulu, victory belongs to Kampala, “they vowed.
To Magumba Ivan, this fight means a lot to his boxing career.” I feel proud to fight in Gulu and call upon every stakeholder to be part of this experience, away from Kampala,”Magumba added.
